hey guys! tessa here and yes, i have platinum bleached hair. i love my bleached hair. i want to keep my bleached hair. but with great hair comes great responsibility. especially if you’re rocking the malfoy look. so i thought i should make a video about all the tips and tricks and different products thati use for my platinum blonde hair. do not try to do this yourself. if done wrong your hair will fry off and start coming out
top shampoo for colored hair, in chunks. it is the worst. it is scary. ithappened to me. after i bleached it the first time, i was going to my regular salon to get my roots done but my hair dresser overlapped the bleach and left it in too long and friedoff parts of my hair. you can see it's fried right here in the front. my hair's not supposed to be this long on the back of my head.
so now i go to a salon that specializes in color and bleaching. it is worth the money. having this hair color is not cheap. why do you think the malfoys had so much money? it was so they could upkeep their platinum hair! my second tip is to wait until the very lastsecond when you just can't stand it anymore to touch up your roots. i do it once a month if i can get away with it. if you can, wait 6-8 weeks. the longer you can wait, the better. next tip. shampooing. shampoo your hair as little as possible. when you shampoo you fade and dry out your damaged, bleached blonde platinum hair. only shampoo 2-3 times per week. that is the maximum. you can still shower stinky just get a shower cap. my shower cap looks like a duck.
these are the shampoos that i use. the first is l’oreal intense repair. it'sa blonde shampoo. this bad boy is a medicated scalp shampoo that i got from the dermatologist. bleaching your hair can also damage your scalp and make it flaky and itchy and gross. so when my scalp starts to feel that way i use this shampoo. now if my hair starts to get too brassy or yellow i use this purple shampoo. if you can tell by the top of the bottle yes it is actually purple. this is the hairgia color enhancingshampoo number four for blonde silver and highlighted hair. also for those in between shampoo-ing days dry shampoo really helps. this is the not your mother's clean freak refreshing dry shampoo. just shake it up, spray it on your roots or
the parts of your hair that feel greasy oroily and just rub it in. that's it! it's pretty magical. now let’s talk about conditioning. withthis hair you cannot just use your normal conditioner. oh no! your hair is way too thirsty. it needs some masks baby. specifically, two types of masks- one for protein and one formoisture. blech i hate the word moist. i like alternating between the two whenever i shampoo. for my protein mask i am using the agadir argan oil with keratin protein moisture mask.even though it says moisture because it has keratin in it, it is a protein mask. for mymoisture mask i use the moroccanoil intense hydrating mask. when i get out of the shower i like to spray this on the ends of my hair. this is a it's a 10 miracle leave-in plus keratin. apparently it does all these cool ten things for your hair.
i just like putting it on the ends becauseit helps the ends from breaking because of the keratin in it. woohoo! spray this on the ends of your hair. one more tip! do not brush your hair when it is wet. right now my hair is flat ironed because i came from the salon but normally try to stay away from heat. that means flat irons, curling irons, just try not to use them. it's okay to use them once in a while just not every day. don't do that to your hair. and if you are using heat, use a heat protectant spray. i use the paul mitchell ultimate color repair triple rescue. also when your hair is bleached sometimes it can get very tangled. and i do not mean
the disney princess with the long hair. herhair could never be bleached because it would be way too damaged for someone to climb up that kind of hair. that's hair's gotta be natural. well...i mean it's magical so i guess it's not natural. anyway. when my hair gets tangled i like using a hair serum. this is fekkai prx reparatives. i'll put it in the description. now for the two magical words that will make your hair love you: coconut oil. you can get this stuff anywhere- amazon, the grocery store, just make sure that it is cold pressed and extra virgin. like a virgin coconut oil. thisstuff has saved my bleached and damaged hair. some people like using different oils likemoroccan oil, it really just depends on how
your hair type responds to it. my hair typeresponds best to coconut oil. so that's what i use. what i do is when i have a free day,i will put the oil on my hands and rub it through my strands of hair. i'll kind of getlittle chunks at a time. when my head is covered and i smell like a pina colada then i willput on a hair cap give off some major lunch lady vibes and then keep it in for 3-4 hours. after that, i hop in the shower and i rinse it all off. i can't really explain what thisdoes to my hair. it's just like magic! if you have any tips or products that you like for bleached hair leave a comment below! also, all the product that i mentioned in this video are in the description box. okay, i think that’s it. nailed it.
