hey guys steve here with a decorativeconcrete quick tip. tape, just don't using tape on concrete that you'replanning on staining or that is already stained is a big no-no and here's why. the adhesive in the tape is the problemit reacts with the concrete clogs the
concrete stamping patterns and colors, pores and will cause discoloration. if you have tape on concrete that is already stained when you remove the tape 9 times out of 10 it's going to takesealer and maybe some stained with it. so don't use tape for masking or for anyother reason. instead use plastic
sheeting and roll it up almost like ahem and duct tape the edges and then you can staple it to a base board orsomething but just keep tape off a concrete. it's bad bad bad bad bad.sometimes through no fault of your own that's already tape on the concrete andyou just have to deal with it. if you're planning on using acid stain you'll want to use paint and sealerremover be sure to follow the directions. if the texture of the concrete's beenchanged the mark is still going to be there so you're going to need to becreative. you can use some water reducible concentrate stain to blend it in or you can use an engraved
design and incorporate that blemish intothe overall look. if you're going to use water reducible concentrate stain, you're going to want to clean the area as thoroughly as possible. there still may be a tape line so you'rejust going to need to be creative with how you blend things into the overallpattern. alright guys i hope you found this quicktip helpful and i would appreciate it if
