create patina with dripping paint hello! now i got a request from a girl from england (i think it was) to be honest, i
house of turquoise paint colors, dpn't really know how to bring out this effect, but i will experiment a lot and see if i can get
to it! i'll show what she wants me to create. so this is the effect that this girl want me to bring out it looks pretty tricky. but i still think that i can have an idea of how i can make it... you see that she is looking for very much structure
and such. here, this is a great picture of what she is looking for. the first thing i can read out from this picture is that there are very many different shades there's a little white, i do not know if she has used only dark wax, or if she actually put in a different shade of paint
too...... as you see. and then she has worked through with very many different techniques, i think... she has probably put a pretty flat due here and then she has probably put some technique to create structure on top finally, she let the color
drip... and then, finually, i think that she had applied a brown or a black wax well... for this project i have chosen old pot cupboard, a small commode first color now, i'll get a pretty nice due to
cover the whole piece first color i apply is called pastel green and it's really pastel green so, i will paint with that now as a basis, because i thought that i will make this turquoise, green blue -isch... well ... now it looks like this, i have covered the piece
with pastel green and now i have brought some different colors, i've byzantine, green tea, bright green, sunkissed and bright turquoise i think i'll apply this randomly
this is only the foundation that i apply i'll experiment and make some fun later, but i want pretty much variations on the base so that i have something nice to start from. mix the paint properly! and now then...
i apply some paint. right now it looks like a: now, some of this paint has dried, some have not i begin to scratch ... on this ... random, everywhere. in this way, i create many
different shades, of these colors and what's stuck on my shovel i just push out so i get even more shades since this is only the foundation it does not matter how this looks really it's only,
the messier - the better right now! now you can really call this cabinet a pippi longstocking-box! now, in places, in particular edges and such i will put on black wax with a brush i use quite a lot of black wax on this piece,
in different layers however, i begin, anyway, to apply it in the edges like this, very sloppy hairdryer!!! i need to bring this little cabinet closer ... there. now the cord reaches!
now i'll apply the paint the color i have chosen now is byzantine and now i want to work pretty fast and to my help, i have a small sponge to create some extra structure uh ... brush,
paint, hairdryer! okay... i start by painting ...paint, quite uneven in some places i put on thick with color, in some places, i take apply less color (oops!)
this will do... hairdryer... highest heat. then i take my sponge and dab around... hairdryer again ... this is gonna be really cool i do just like this
over the whole piece now now, this party had time to dry quite a while and now i think that i should scrape away a small part of paint now i take the color pastel green and i want some 'dripping' from this so i will mix it in a cup of water,
because i do not want it so very prominent so, a cup of water, and so i do just like this ... i take a lot of paint on my brush and then i just press out the color the top now, so very ... i want to it so that it has drained
here too... sp then i simply angles it! ... and press... so that the paint flows. now, on top of this, i'll get this whole piece to walk in turquoise i pour the paint into water again
like this, very thin paint i do not want it quite this much paint so i wipe it off a bit now of course i forgot what i was thinking of doing from the beginning! i want to apply crackle glaze
in some places, not just everywhere but i want to get some details to crack luckily i did not get so very far ... i try to apply it in the places where it is flaked, and a little extra in the corners maybe ... and you should always keep in mind that when you
work with crackle glaze: once cracked paint - always cracked paint! each layer of paint that i apply now, will crack the colors will continue to crack all the way it is good to have in mind if you would like
to repaint anything that you've used crackle glaze for... it can get a bit tricky ... there, it will probably be fine. now i continue the same with the turquoise! over the entire cabinet ... this really looks like a small firework right now, hehe. now that i've covered all this with
thinned paint, i'll do some more shades of this again by pour some paint over this ... now we are approaching the end on this project what i should do now is to take
bright turquoise (without mixing it with water) then i'll get it dripping all over, and i'll fast dry it with my hairdryer to get some structure i have my hair dryer set on the highest heat
and then i blow ... now, i'll take this paint, andi throw it on this a bit everywhere to get some of the structural like this. now we will practice a little magic in this workshop and then i have brought
black chalk wax i will apply it with a brush and i also brought clear wax that i will use for blurring the black on these hikes and such i start... smear it properly ... there you go ... and now, i take
my cloth ... with the clear wax ... smear it even more. now i'm going to scratch, a little to get a little sharper tones here and there not very much then i'll dry brush (you will see what i mean
with that) to get some highlighting but i scrape off a bit now i dry brush and i want to give this a light color, so i have chosen sunkissed to this
i take only very little paint on the brush

and then i start to dry brush do not forget to click the 'like button' down below! thank you for watching my video!
