[ matte glam makeup tutorial ] hey guys! it's wengie here.welcome back to my channel. and today i am showing you how to do this makeup this is my go-to filming look these days so i've been wearing this kind of makeup look for my past few videos and in the comments section you guys kept asking me to do a tutorial and i promised you guys, every single time, so here it is!
light milk chocolate hair color, the other day i got to meet bethany mota and, oh my god, i was fangirling so hard, i was a total nervous wreck 'cause i so totally snapchatted that moment as well and i'm gonna treasure it, like, forever.
hey snapchat! what's up! i'm here with bethany. i'm so nervous right now. oh! she's so sweet! bye! remember, i'm not a makeup artist so, i pretty much get better through a lot of practice so you can too, specially if you're learning about makeup.keep that in mind and let's get straight into the look. mixing my full coverage foundation with this cc cream from banilla co. and i love doing this because it adds a little bit of a glow to the foundation so it doesn't look so matte and dead and then i'm just applying this on my face and blending it out with my favorite blending brush
and like to blend it from the middle of my face out so that the coverage is concentrated in the middle triangle part of your face, which is the most important and then taking a damp beauty blender and then just making it look airbrushed and really, really blended in, in case the brush left any streaks. next, i'm taking a concealer that's lighter in color than my face and then, using it as a highlighter, under my eyes and cheekbones, on my forehead, and also on my nose, skipping the middle part and concentrating on the tip and the top of the bridge, as well as my cupid's bow and chin, i'm taking my damp beauty blender and then blending out the edges, making sure that i'm keeping a lot of the concealer product on for it's coverage
and a damp beauty blender ensures that it doesn't soak up too much product, so more product is left on your face and plus the finish is so nice and a little bit dewy. next onto my brows, i'm taking the anastasia brow whiz and creating my favorite brow shape at the moment, which is a slightly angled, straight brow. i'm not fully into the arched brows yet. i'm getting there guys, but it's not my favorite look, so, i'm concentrating on a clean line on the top and bottom of my brows before filling it in and then, to lighten my brows i'm taking this brow mascara in this taupe color, making sure it's groomed neat and slightly lighter in color because my brow hair is always too dark for my hair... let's be honest. on my must-have beauty item is actually sticky tape at the moment
it really helped my eye shadow application, and i'm sticking it down following the curve of my lower eyes. you can also follow the angle of your brows as well if you have an arched brow. you can see how i've stuck it on this angle here. next i'm taking salted caramel from my favorite palette at the moment, chocolate bar, and applying it as a transition shade. notice i'm keeping my eyes open because i have hooded lids. if i don't keep my eyes open, it's just gonna disappear, so i'm using this as a guide to know how high to apply the color and then i'm then applying it down to my crease afterwards. next i'm taking milk chocolate and applying it on my crease to really blend the transition color as well,
and to my crease color that i'm gonna apply soon. next i'm using triple fudge with this sort of flat shader brush and applying it on my outer v, on my crease and then blending it down towards my lower lash line in sort of like a triangle. next, i'm packing on some white chocolate onto my lids and this gives it a little bit of a pop and volume and then, using a blending brush, i'm putting that in the white chocolate as well, and then applying that on my brow bone, blending down to the transition shade, and then using it to blend up that line. and then taking the blending brush andusing circular motions, i'm blending in the triple fudge and the crease colors to the transition shade as well.
next, i'm taking off the sticky tape and, oh my god, seriously, it looks amazing! this moment makes me so happy and excited, don't know why, but you can also leave this on if you still need this as a guide to doyour eyeliner but i'm just going to do my eyeliner following that same angle and today is the day where my hands started to shake because i drank too much coffee so... sorry, i'm going to cut this shortbecause i am struggling here. basically joined a winged eyeliner. then blending in the lower wing liner line with some triple fudge to my lower lash line. next i'm gonna curl my lashes in preparation for my falsies which, oh my god, is pretty much the highlight of this look. i'm in love with them.
these are from a brand called tiny minx and then mink lashes and they are so super soft and light and i'm just gonna cut this to size. this is so important. if you don't cut your lashes to size they're just gonna pop off and look really really weird. it's really heartbreaking that i've come to the realization that you just have to do this. then applying some glue and then sticking them on and seriously, this pretty much makes the look. what do you guys think? i don't use mascara for this look because i don't wanna ruin the lashes but these lashes are so fluffy and look like real hair that they're literally blending with my natural lashes anyways. also, then take some eyeliner to blend in the front part of the lash band.
oh my gosh, seriously, how amazing do these lashes look? i am so super excited right now! i'm applying some mascara to my lower lashes 'cause i'm not gonna do fakies for them and then i'm taking the flat shader brush with some milk chocolate and then applying it and smoking out the lower lash line. next for contour, i'm taking this warm contour color from the kat von d palette and applying it underneath my cheekbones and also around the edge of my forehead. the warmer colors are really flattering on your face. so i'm using the cooler tone shade, pretty much contouring my nose on the nose bridge and my tip. i also like to shade the bottom of my nostrils to make my nose look shorter and then i want to shade across this part of my nose. i don't know how to describe it but it kinda makes it look like you have a higher tip so i really like doing that now,
and then taking a highlighting color, applying it to the bridge of my nose and my forehead and the tip of course, and also under my eye, i'm blending this so it looks like i have really high cheekbones. i'm using a blending brush to do this for eye shadow because it gives me more control and helps me apply in a small area so i just prefer using this over, like, a face brush. and then i'm taking a color from the hourglass ambient palette. and then applying it on my cheekbones for a slight sheen. it's a really beautiful shine. and then taking the lightest one and then applying it on the highest point of my cheekbones and the bridge of nose and seriously it looks so good on camera and real life, it's just amazing! and then, if you need to use your fingers to blend out any of the contours on your nose, if you need to...
seriously! it looks so good. i feel like i have a button nose now. next, i'm taking this lip liner and then lining my lips, i'm slightly overlining the bottom lip, just by a little bit, not by much, and then also using it as a lipstick aswell because i find it stays on longer than actual lipstick and then, plus i don't have to use lipstick. then i'm taking a lip gloss in a matching color and applying this on top. and the final touch is just a little bit ofblush just in the center apples. it's just a little bit of color, looks really good on screen. and then we're done!
so i hope i explained this so you guys could understand and learn something from it.
if you did, please give this video a thumbs-up, it only takes a few seconds and i would thank you guys so much and i'd really appreciate it. don't forget that i love you guys so so so so much and i'll see you guys in my next video. bye!
