hey youtube world! it's me - evelyn's napps.and as you can tell, i'm in dire need of a color touch up. back in april, i dyed my hairwith the shea moisture hair color system in bright auburn, and my roots have in fact grownout. i like the system because it didn't dry my hair out or change my hair texture, noporosity issues at all. i will say that my hair is more of a true brown than a brightauburn. that was the first time dyeing my
pictures of copper brown hair color, natural hair - dyeing my hair period, whetherby myself or by a salon. but i thought i'd give it another try and share the resultswith you. in my experience this hair color doesn't bleed too much. it took about threewashes for me to stop seeing color in the water -- even after i rinse clear when i initiallydyed my hair, it did bleed for a couple washes
after that. and i do use sulfate free shampoos.as you can see, i'm trying to get it on my roots. people talked about "hot roots" butmy roots just don't lift, so i'm putting it on my scalp and we'll see how it goes. sothat's what the color looks like when the dye's still in my hair. it's really brightred. and i really should have put some sort of vaseline concoction on my forehead buti forgot. and in 30 minutes the color does oxidize and become useless and i find it reallyhard to actually do my hair properly in 30 minutes. i didn't shampoo my hair, i justdeep conditioned with soultanicals. hit my beauty guru pose!! in case you don't knowwhat it looks like to have a towel on your head, let me show you five different angles**sarcasm** and then i assess the situation!
again, my hair is soft, bouncy, not dry, notcrispity. the color seems vibrant inside, but outside, right after i could tell thati didn't get my roots!!! dude, i didn't get them roots. i don't know what i gotta do -- leaveit in for 75 hours?? but that's the next day, and my hair is a bright red -- it's actuallyred not brown which is what i was going for. as you can see my roots are still dark. they'restill like a dark burgundy. i don't know what do to about that. and my roots (baby hairs)is hot -- that's my scalp that's red because i put it directly on my scalp. next time iwant all-over color, i'll definitely go to a professional. thirty minutes just isn'tlong enough for me, a novice, to make sure this mixture gets on every crevice and coilof my natural hair texture. our hair isn't
flat, so to put this mixture on properly inmy opinion takes way longer than thirty minutes.
so overall, i would recommend the sheamoisturehair color system just because it doesn't leave your hair feeling like straw and i didn'thave any issues with dryness or changes in porosity. what color should i go next? letme know in the comments. i'll see you on the internet somewhere - bye!
