- hey, friends. thank you guys so much for watching. today i'm gonna show you how to make another do-it-yourself holiday gift idea. this time around, i'mgonna show you how to make
solid color gift bags with handles, a hot cocoa kit that you cangive to anyone in your life for the holidays. it is just so thoughtful,and so delicious. i'm gonna show you differenttypes of flavors to make.
so stay tuned here's what you'll need: silicone molds, cute decorative thingslike containers, strings, stickers, tags, chocolate chips,chocolate, white chocolate and then also if you wanna get fancy, you can add nutella or cookie butter. and this is extras, buti also wanted to include
marshmallows, edible gold and candy canes. and lastly, you'll alsoneed some cookie sticks, which are thicker versions of lollipops. and pure peppermint oiland some mugs to store all of that in. so let's begin by placingthe candy canes inside a bag, and i'm just using ameat tenderizer to crush those candy canes. and now you're ready tomelt the chocolate chips.
we're gonna start withthe white chocolate chips. i'm gonna do about a cupof white chocolate chips. i'm gonna microwave thatfor 30-second intervals, and i'm gonna add just a tadbit of peppermint extract, and that'll make it into awhite chocolate, peppermint type of hot cocoa. i added a little bit ofthe crushed candy cane, and then i poured in the white chocolate into a silicone mold, andi added a lollipop stick.
next you can also add cookie butter into melted white chocolate. and that'll be whitechocolate cookie butter. this one is really tasty. i tried it and i love cookie butter and whitechocolate together. it tastes so good. so, again, pour into anytype of silicone molds that you like, and add the stick.
and next i'm gonna showyou a different recipe. this is chocolate chips and this is a little tip. if you want your chocolatechips to melt faster, get the mini versions. and in the silicone molds,i went ahead and i added the edible gold, aswell as the candy canes and marshmallows as well. and you can also add nutellainto the melted chocolate
and thoroughly mix andyou're ready to pour. and this is what it lookslike when it is hardening. i like to put it in thefreezer for about an hour. and then you can also make little baggies with the marshmallows, and wrap it up in cutelittle decorative ribbon. i chose this candy cane looking one. alright, after an hour in the freezer, you can pop them out and this is how
they all turned out different flavors, and they're just all sodelicious and so cute. and then you can justgo ahead and place it into these little plastic containers that you can get like athobby lobby or michaels, and wrap it up. i use the same ribbon. you can also add a stickerthat says made with love to let them know that you made it,
which is super cute and thoughtful. and now you're ready to create your do-it-yourself kit. put the marshmallows below, and then add the lollipop sticks. and that is your gift. just add a tag. you can also wrap itwith, like, basket wrap if you wanted to.
so let's test it out. so we're gonna boil oneand a half cups of milk. once it's boiled, you'regonna go ahead and pour into the mug, and stirin that solid chocolate. alright, it's completelymelted and lastly, you guys gotta add some marshmallows, or whipped cream, or both. whichever you prefer, you guys. i gotta be honest, this was so tasty.
and another thing, youcan also turn this into like a do-it-yourself mocha kit because it tastes so great with coffee. like, seriously, i tried it, and it's just such adelicious sweetener to it. so i added the whitechocolate cookie butter to my coffee, and it wasso amazing, you guys. i hope that you found this video helpful. and i hope that you guyslike it and give it a try.
