sally beauty supply professional hair color

hey curlfriends! today i'm going to show you guys how i wentfrom black to burgundy with my virgin hair in just a few simple steps. i'm using hair from beauty forever as always. i'm using their brazilian natural wave.

sally beauty supply professional hair color, i got 3 bundles as well as a closure. my order consisted of a 16" closure as wellas an 18", 22" and 22" bundle. keep in mind, my closure is a body wave closure. so it had a slightly different texture fromthe natural wave bundles.

we're just going to grab a few quick items. i got the adore color in the colors magentaas well as fiesta fuchsia, some bw2 powder, 40 volume developer, some disposable gloves,a tint bowl and brush, as well as a very large trash bag to protect my surface from the color. i'm going to mix my bw2 powder. if you're a beginner at lightening or coloringhair, i highly suggest that you follow the directions on your bottle. i prefer a more creamy consistency when itcomes to my lightener. i pretty much just eyeball the measurements.

i had about 4 scoops of the bw2 powder andan equal amount of the developer. i just grabbed my bundles and put them onthese little hangers to help the application process out and make it a little bit moreorganized. i'm going to apply the lightener towards theends first and work my way up to the mids, followed by roots. this is going to give me a nice ombre effect. it's going to make the hair look a littlebit more natural. our hair naturally lightens towards the endsand are pretty dark towards the roots. if you want to go for more of a subtle formof color, having dark roots is a very great

way of achieving that. you don't have to worry about your eye browsbeing too harsh against the color. so i went for a dark root. here you can see, i went ahead and did theends, and the mids. now i'm going in vertically (up and down)to create a more blended look. i wont have too many harsh lines and it'lllook very nice and subtle. repeat this throughout all of your bundlesas well as your closure. be sure not to get the bleach on the laceif you don't plan on bleaching your closure. but i went ahead and bleached the lace onmy closure as well as the hair itself.

here is what it ended up looking like. i left it on for about 45 minutes and grabbedmy two longest bundles which are my two 22" bundles. this is what i'm going to start adding thecolor on, my longest bundles. i'm going for more of a cranberry effect whenit comes to the color of red that i like. so i'm going half and half with the color. i used about 60ml of the fiesta fuchsia aswell as 60ml of the magenta. anytime i needed to mix more of the colorif i needed more of the color, i made sure that it was nice and equal parts.

i mixed the two colors together before i appliedit to the hair. now you're pretty much just going to applythis to the hair. you don't have to be super neat with this. as long as you get the color on. make sure that all of the blonde pieces areheavily coated. you don't want to go through this entire process, rinse out the hair, have it air dry and when it's time to style you realize that you havea lot of "holidays" as they used to call it in our beauty school, or any bright blondespots that you ended up missing. so make sure that you heavily apply this colorand make sure that every strand is covered.

when it came down to the closure, i laid downsome aluminum foil to protect the lace. i didn't want the lace to have a red tintto it. i wanted it to have nice flesh tone, so ijust went ahead and put down that aluminum foil to hold down the lace. i went in carefully throughout each strandto make sure that it was heavily coated with the red hair dye without getting the lacecaught. all of our bundles as well as our closureis already colored. everything looks great! i just went back in to make sure that everythingwas heavily coated.

i rinsed it out with some cold water untilit ran clear. here are my final results as far as the color. as you can see everything looks really niceand vibrant. the ends are the brightest. these are my two longest bundles. they are the brightest! the 18" bundle is a little bit darker andof course the closure is the darkest. so i'm just going to work on my closure andcustomize it to my liking. i wanted a middle part to be a little bitwider than how it came.

this is a free part closure, so i'm able tocustomize it exactly how i would like. i like to pull back a little bit of the babyhair and thin it out a little to look a little bit more natural. now we can go ahead and start our wig construction. i'm just laying down the closure. i'm going to sew that down first, then i'llbe sewing down my bundles from the longest to the shortest. i'll lay down the two 22" bundles. preferably the lightest bundle will go downfirst, then the darkest, then last but not

least the 18" bundle. i'm using the fold over method to create thiswig. i wanted to minimize as much shedding as possiblealthough beauty forever hair rarely ever sheds. but here are my final results as far as mywig. everything is sewn together and as you cansee it goes from the darkest root all the way down to the lightest ends. i'm just going to prep the hair for stylingusing my arvazallia argon oil for my heat protectant. im going to flat iron the hair.

this hair straightens very nice. it is a natural wave so it's not super definedlike a body wave and it's not super straight to where it's like super straight hair. but it does straighten very well. it has lots of body and the adore hair colorleaves it with a ton of shine and it doesn't look super dry at the end. i'm just going to go ahead and flat iron thehair bone straight to my liking. last but not least, if you ever end up lighteningor coloring your bundles, i highly suggest that you let the hair air dry instead of blowdrying it to minimize dryness in your hair

and keep the luster and shine in it. here are the final results. i really hope that you guys enjoyed this tutorial. i love this red color on me. i love how it turned out.
